For Paris Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2017, Christian Louboutin collaborations took us night crawling through the streets of Paris. First, accompanying a star-emblazoned collection by Mugler and then through the cities back alleys for a mysterious romp with Olympia Le-Tan.
For the legendary house of Mugler, custom stilettoes and booties evoking the brand's signature angular architecture took to the catwalk. Bold, sharp pointed shoulders and jagged star-shapes pervaded designer David Koma's collection, which radiated like the night sky in a palette of deep midnight blue, silver and black. Strappy louboutin pumps and Strappy Sandals revealed some skin through intersecting straps, while Star Pump bootie in black and luminous silver reflected the shimmering celestial studs placed on jackets and sheer sleeves throughout the collection. A reference to our own sun roared in a blazing yellow dress paired aptly with an ultra-shiny Flat Base Zazou.
From heavenly bodies to earthly delights, Olympia Le-Tan plotted her story on the dark sidestreets where infamous noir characters and femme fatales trade secrets. Inspired by 1950s tropes, Le-Tan's collection showed modern interpretations of pink poodle-cloth coats, velvet skirts and silk head scarfs. References from the classic horror moviePsychoto pulp novelHouse of Sinechoed through the collection while models plotted their escape. Bespoke Christian Louboutin Pumps fitted with sweetly oversized bows in silk moire, embossed leather and wool clung close. Nude, stiletto-shaped manicures using Christian Louboutin Nail Colour blended into the mysterious scene with suspicious ease.
